| Is the bolt catch suppose to have some wiggle in it? It became really noticeable when I installed the BAD lever. |

Same here... I tried to put a home-made plastic shim in there, but it was no use, it barely reduced the wiggle, and it sometimes put the thing in a bind (and with the added weight of the BAD lever) it would hamper it to the point that an empty mag would not engage the bolt lock, so I gave up on that.
I have fat, long fingers, which is even worse when I am wearing gloves... once the BAD lever had wiggled its way far to the rear to the point that when I moved my finger off of the trigger guard, and curled it toward the trigger, it got caught on the lever right at the seam of the glove, so it hung up pretty well. It only took a second to re-adjust and get around it and back on the trigger.... but in the real world, that could cost me my life. It would be 10x easier to clear a double feed, and when it works properly it is a much faster way to reload the rifle, but after that little "hang up" (pun intended) I am very reluctant to use it again. I will likely put it on the wife's rifle, or on another AR that I do not plan on using for HD or SHTF. |
