I am in the market for upgrading my stock a2 flash suppressor. I am leaning towards the Vltor due to having good luck with there other products.  Is this a better suppressor than the a2? Tell me what you think.

Save your money. I had this on an SBR, I switched it out for an A2. I saw no difference in flash or muzzle flip.

You can't beat the cost vs function of an A2 flash hider.

For standard range use and 90% of most use an A2 will do just fine.

If you need a Compensator that is different.

If you must change it a Vortex or Blackout would be better.

They are good quality but mostly the money will be spent for looks not better function.

I have one and I like it.  Its not much better than a standard A2, but it looks sweet.  I am a VLTOR addict.

I put one on my SBR 12.5" Noveske Crusader barrel. Just for the hell of it I guess

I can't tell a functional difference between the VC-1 and an A2 except the VC-1 is slightly longer.I have one on a Dissipator upper using a FSB mounted light and the very slight additional length is comforting. Additionally the VC-1 is beautifully machined.

I think that this is relevant to your interests.

97GN's muzzle device nighttime comparison.

i have 3 of them, one on my 16" Noveske, one on my 14.5" LMT (welded) and one on my 10.5" Noveske.

honestly, like others have said it's not that much different than an A2 where function is concerned. i'm not a fan of the A2 look and i don't *need* to hide muzzle flash any more than what an A2 would provide. the VLTOR is a perfect fit for me at the moment. it looks good and functions perfectly for what i want/need.

(when i decide on which suppressor company i'm going to go with i may need to reconsider my options but that's for a later date.)
