I was checking out thier site and you can buy a complete upper for $265 (NOTHING NEW). You can buy a complete lower for $180.... Then you add a BCG for $150ish.... TOTAL $650ish after shipping and tax... They dont offer a complete rifle ANYWHERE near that price! What am I missing? Does it really cost $400 to slap together a rifle? I have a parked DSA Z4 upper on a Stag lower and its a decent shooter! I thought about maybe buying a complete rifle to bang around on, but its way cheaper to just buy all the parts! Why not just make it easy and slap together a few of these?

Why would you want to pay them ANYTHING to push in two pins? Buy, assemble, and be happy!

Excise tax adds 10% (I believe) to any fully assembled firearm, so that bumps it up a bit.

If you want a nice rifle for that price, go to BudsGunShop.  After reading all the reviews on the DoubleStar, I purchased one to see for myself and I was not disappointed.  It is a great rifle.  I wouldn't hesitate to buy another one.  It is $659 shipped, so add FFL fee and you have a  nice gun for under $700.

i was considering this exact same scenario just a week ago, but i ordered a CMMG bargain bin rifle for $648 (including shipping) instead.

You need to read the description of the complete rifle. I think they have robar coated bolts and few more extras not offered on their parked uppers

We have added chromelined barrels, Hogue grips and NP3 plated internals to our factory rifles. Also the rifle prices are MSRP as well.

Thanks

Thanks for the input everyone!

MSRP? So if I call and order one will the cost be lower than MSRP?

Thanks
