Depends on what you want it for, I really like mine. It's set up with an Aimpoint H1 in DD mount, X300 mounted in front of the FSB, and a Larue sling. It only has ~1400 rounds through it, but it's worked fine. but are they all chf barrel?i read about it...not all of them are chf barrel unless it has a date xx/xx on barrel??? is it ture |
| Some of the early DDM4 did not have CHF barrels. Currently all new DD rifles ship with CHF barrels. The ones that are not CHF have a stamping of DD MP 4150 5.56 NATO 1/7. The CHF forged barrels are stamped DD 5.56 NATO 1-7 xx/xx with a date listed. DD also had some CHF barrels with the stamping of DD 5.56 NATO 1/7 . |

If you get one that doesn't have a date contact DD and tell them your serial number. I thought mine had a non-CHF barrel, but it turns out it was just an early CHF without the date marking. |
| A friend I shoot with regularly bought one last October and at first I wasn't too fond aesthetically with the rail on the M4. After handling it and running it pretty hard, I have grown to like it very much. He set it up with the X300 light in front of the FSP and it's pretty easy to engage the light shooting strong or support side. |

1,200 is a fair price. I snagged mine on Gunbroker.com for 1,035 plus the $250 black fund card and got extremely lucky. I dont think they are worth the 1,699.00 retail price, but there are many on there for around 1,200. Serious question here...Why? I just picked one up, Sight un-seen for $1175. I figured for the money, How could I go wrong.(actually I bought a DDm4v2). I have found very little complaints (or info) on these rifles. |
