Thanks to QUIB finding out AeroShell 33MS is exactly the type of grease what the military uses for barrel nuts/receiver extension nuts I went looking online at SkyGeek.com as he and everyone else on here suggested. Well, SkyGeek charges $12.66 for the grease and over $13 for USPS Priority Mail.  I found http://www.airplaneoil.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=5067068-1&click=2 who sells it for $12.66 and UPS Ground was about $8. I called and spoke to Tom, who was one of those guys who genuinely sounds like a good guy. I asked how long they take to ship and he told me it should go out tomorrow, and asked where I live. He said to Tampa it should probably be Monday and asked if that was OK. I told him I was really hoping to have it by the weekend, but it's not the end of the world. He said he would try to get to the shop and send it off tonight. He then started asking me about the weather, etc. since he is flying to Sarasota (about an hour South of Tampa) on Friday. All in all, a hell of a nice guy and his shipping is MUCH more reasonable than SkyGeek. I just figured I would throw that out there in case anyone else was looking at SkyGeek and said "Fuck you" when they saw their shipping prices.ETA - He just called me and said it's going out tonight.  |
