got the new rifle  check
got an eotech check
need to zero wtf?
I under stand the  idea of  the trajectory and cross over poa and poi.  I understand about the improved battle site.  however all the discussions are about the
carrying site handle site and that is where I get lost.  Ihve  DD xv and the rear site is fixed in elevation.  There fore  once it is sighted  the range is fixed okay but I still do not understand the
basic instructions  regarding 25 and 50 meter   cross over points because all the instructions refer to raising and lowering the rear site.   I have access to a 200meter range and therefore I want  200 meter zero I guess.  Do I set up my 25 meter zero targets at 25 or 50m?    do I go for poa and poi there and with the fixed site where will that give me  a 200 meter  zero?

just zero at 50 yards and then check it at 200m, that will give you an IBZ.  You just won't be able to adjust your rear sight for greater distances.

Thanks

When I  separately zero the eotech it talks about  zeroing at 25 but allowing poa and poi to diverge by a cm that would get you into the ball park for a 100-200 zero. Would that work for the buis as well?
