I am new to the forum and new to the AR15. I used an old A1 in the Army back in the early 90's and I am thinking about finally grabbing one of these for myself. I have done some research and I really like the BCM stuff and they are fairly local to me(Wisconsin). What does everyone think about them? Good rifles, good parts, whatever. Just wanting to know.

Chris This is a pointless question to ask on this forum. All hail BCM. Go drink the Cool Aide and take an oath to BCM. Meanwhile there are lots of other good makes out there. But, BCM will be a safe bet, especially if you ask here. |
| There is nothing bad to say about them. Some throw around terms like "fanboy" or "kool-aid" but the bottom line is that BCM just builds 'em correctly. And doing things right goes a long way. What else can really be said? The only people who would down BCM are the eternal contrarians whose mindset I will never understand. |

Here is a quote by Pat Rogers borrowed from "Lightfighter Forum" with Mr. Rogers' permission ...
"Pat _Rogers Leadership Moderator Posted 23 August 2009 23:51 I'll admit my bias here, both to Colt and Bravo Company. We have a lot of Colts in the armory, but now- more BCM's. I have been running Colt's for a long time, and never a proplem to speak of. I have been running BCM for 3.5 years now, and amd completely satisfied with them. The 6920 is the Gold Standard. The 6940 T&E i have has seen 14250 rds, no cleaning, no problems. I have run a lot of BCM T&E guns, and have had excellent results. Colt is a Big Company and has made several million AR's. They started it and know what they are doing. Paul is a small company and has made substantially less guns. However, i can pick up the phone and call Paul 24/7 (and have). I have had uppers and parts overnighted to me on multiple occassions- to include last Friday. I have friends at Colt but that service is impossible from a big company. They are both great companies and both make great guns. Their guns are to spec (with exception of F/A parts). I have no clue what fit and finish means nor do i care. What goes into the guns is waaaay more important to me. You would be well served by either. My preference is Bravo Company. Just sayin'... S/F Pat sends www.eagtactical.com" |

I do like my BCM middy that I had Tornado Tech do a cut and pin job on... I've run about 700 rounds through it since the cut job, surpressed, in an afternoon with no surprises...
When the time (read: money and tax stamp) is right, I'll have one of their 11.5" uppers to go with my recently acquired can. Call me a fanboy if you want, but Paul has gone above and beyond with his CS in regards to getting me a hard to find (at the time) part. Knowing that his kit runs better than most (through MY personal experience) when run hard, coupled with his CS... I have no problem ordering BCM anything and recomend others do the same. Don't know what else I can say... Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |

I've had good service from BCM parts. I believe they put together some very nice rigs. But like other companies, all it takes is a couple guys with high post to say they got crap and suddenly BCM goes low on the pole. Remember LMT was the shit. Now they are just ok according to some members here. I build my own so I get what I want. That would be considered a "FrankenGun". But you know what? They always run. |
