Back in October I purchased a RRA CAR-15, Carbine length, A4 upper, 2 stage trigger, 6-position stock, Dominator 2 mount, and hogue grip along with 2 magpul Pmags.
I figured I'd post a build log just in case someone, somewhere has a similar interest in a rifle as I do. Since its 'the most wonderful time of the year' to get money as a gift and buy gun parts/accessories I'm starting what I call "Phase One". BCM gunfighter charging handle mod 4 5.11 Basic Single Point Static Sling GG&G under forearm integrated rail Vertical Foregrip Streamlight TL-3 with blue flipcap and TL remote switch GG&G mount w/ .9" adapter Not a bad upgrade for $230 I think this will be a good start to my AR system. I will be purchasing parts over the next week and will post pics as to the progress. Phase Two will consist of an Aimpoint ML2 with GG&G cantilever mount $463 (will purchase after I'm proficient with Iron sights) thank you, and I hope enjoyment or inspiration comes out of this. |

Why not get a MOE handguard for the same money? It gives you quite a lot more options for rail placement. I realize you'd still need rail sections, but they aren't that much more. MOE handguard @ AIM

Try changing out the buffer. Not a bad idea- I didn't think of that. http://www.spikestactical.com/z/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=78_36&products_id=223 Quoted:
