will rifle length free float handguards fit on a 16" carbine, if i use a low profile gas block? Im wanting to order a yhm free float handguard, but would prfer the longer length. Didnt want to order it, then it not work

If you already have a upper that has the standard front sight base my advice is to just grind it down with a dremel and grind wheel.
I was goin to go with the YHM FF but decided not to since I could not remove my FSB. So I went with a 2 piece FF rail a Troy MRF-MX 10" Rail and it looked pretty damn good. Well in my opinion any way 
(the top rails lined up perfect, it just looks a lil off set because of the ladder rails covers I had on there.)
