While doing a thorough cleaning on my M&P, the little piece at one end of the extractor that has the spring & "O"ring fell off. Did I just break my extractor??? It has a little hole about 1/8" diameter & maybe 3/32" deep for that piece to seat. I got it all together by holding the bolt carrier upside down. Upon completion I cycled the gun 6-7 times & everything felt like it always has. I would like to hear from someone smarter than me(which ain't hard) before sending a round through it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I don't really think it's broke since I looked at Midway USA & they have just that little part for sale without having to even buy a new extractor but would still like to hear from someone out there. Thanks, Kenny

No you are fine you can take it out and replace them as an upgrade with other brands etc. It's just the extractor spring and insert....just make sure you pushed it back down in the hole. Either way though I think your fine.
