Just built a lower from parts with a Spikes Tactical 22 lr upper on it. Thinking of getting a different upper. Any opinions on a 5.45 x 39 for cheap shooting or a 7.62 x 39 ? I see model one sales has them. Any opinions would be appreciated.

Keep commie calibers in commie guns. Easier to clean and there are thousands of cheap, reliable mags for AKs, while AR 7.62x39 and 5.45x39 mags are still iffy.

Awesome... If I had the $$$ I'd get a 9mm setup... concentrating on upgrades for my existing weapons for now though

Get a .223/5.56mm upper and load your own ammo if the cost of ammo is your concern.
