I just picked up a my first black rifle, an oly arms k16. Not my first choice, but I do live in NJ. I'm looking for a quad rail for it, but since it has a bull barrel, im wondering if the gas block size would be an issue in my decision. I'm pretty much completely inexperienced, so any advice is welcome. Thanks guys

You'll have to just get a 7" quad rail and leave the gas block exposed.  You MIGHT be able to find a low profile .930 gas block that will fit under one or two of the quad rails on the market, but I'm not sure.

By the way, since it's an Oly . .. . IBTSS.

You could just get a MOE hand gaurd for it and bolt on the actual sections of rail you need.

I have an Oly Plinker. It's my favorite range AR. Flawless and was a great value for the money. Hope you enjoy yours before all the Oly haters stomp you!

The K16 has a free float tube on it.  Doesn't the MOE require a standard barrel nut and handguard cap?

You could do 2 things.

1) Keep that gas block and get a 7" free-float quad rail.
or
2) Get a lo-profile gas block for .940 barrels and get a YHM or Troy rail.

Lo-Pro gas block
