Thinking of buying the Elite Operator see attached link: http://www.rockriverarms.com/images/products/rra_opseriessc.gif Thanks Yooper What's the price point on that thing? Frankly I can't see spending the money on that rifle when there are so many other good options on the market...options like 6920's for reasonable prices, the DD M4 or XV, or one of the railed S&W guns. |

Or, you can pony up for a real Operator....
It appears to be a 6920 with 6520 barrel and nice accessories. LE6920 Lightweight Operator |

They go for around 1200 -1300
The handguard makes it front heavy, and thats bone stock before you start putting optics and lights and VFGs on it. The stock is not all that bad for what it is, it has a decent cheek weld. Its mid-length gas system and the barrel is chrome lined It has some type of Rock River compensator on the front. I can't say if its good or bad, never shot one. I guess the Two stage trigger and Ergo grip are nice additions. I work in a shop and we had a few out on the shelf. A couple of HPD cadets bought them for patrol rifles. And thats on a rack next to Colt 6920s and SW M&Ps, both which i suggested I thought would be better for patrol. If Its what you want I'd say get it, Im sure its a decent rifle. If you want something else, whether different, or of higher quality, or if you just want Arfcom cool points, get something else. My $0.02 ETA: RRA's website says the barrel is chrome moly, but I am positive the two we had were chrome lined. |

But not worth it if excessively heavy....... Original Poster... I just built up a lower with an Operator Stock... I like it. Operator Stock Build |

They go for around 1200 -1300 A Daniel Defense M4 can be had for about 1400...and that rifle comes with exceptionally high quality, tons of rail space, and is still very light and well balanced. I can't see spending 1200-1300 on a RR when I can have the DD M4. |
