I am having problems with my 6940 short stroking. I shot around 200 rds through it and now it wont work. I sent it to my local colt armorer to check out and will pick it up on Sat. if he can get it going. If not it will be sent back to Colt for repair. This is the first time I have not been able to repair a gun myself, It is perplexing to say the least.

I got a hunch it's just a misaligned tube, and nothing you would be able to fix with the special nut they use.

My first thought too.  Something is keeping enough gas from getting through.  Its either that, or a loose gas key...

My bet is it is a misaligned tube...

LC'09 green tip

The gas key is staked good and on the BC securely as well.
