I was taking the castle nut off of one of my lowers the other night to put on a Magpul ASAP sling plate. I had a Spikes castle nut wrench and a lower receiver block I purchased from PK. Well the castle nut must have been put on by a gorilla because it was a pain to get off. It turned out to be a 2 man job because my lower began to flex because of the torque we were having to use to take it off, one with the wrench the other trying to keep the lower from flexing. There was no loctite use, just torqued down really tight I guess. Anyway to the point, is there anything for a lower like the upper? A sort of clam shell device to keep the lower from flexing. What do you guys use in this situation?

there is something that slips into the magwell then you can place it in a vise and work on your lower.

Lower reciever block.

Cray6031, I do not know of any clamshell type device for the lower.

when they are that tight i CAREFULLY cut the nut with a dremel tool and diamond blade and replace the nut

Couldn't you just put the rib on the bottom of the receiver extension into a vise?  Then all the torque is on the tube, not the lower.
