I searched but didn't find anything about receiver rugs on the Forum.  Their claim is to prevent debris and primers from interfering with the trigger.  Do they work?  Is there a down side to using one?  A waste of money?  Thanks.

To keep stuff out of the lower receiver, you're going to put something in the lower receiver - something that isn't attached and that can be torn?  IMHO that is asking for trouble.  If you're really worried about primers then only shoot ammo with staked primers.

I have one in a M4gery.  It did increase the trigger pull weight slightly.  IMO-I believe it that does help minimize the risk of getting something stuck up under the trigger.

For a few bucks, try it, and if you don't like it, take it out.
