Was wondering how would I know if the buffer and buffer spring is shot.
Went to the range today and each time I fire my rifle you can hear the spring recoil not sure if this is normal.
I know when I was in the Army I don't recall hearing the spring in my A2 or M4.

Thank's

That's normal. You hear it on some AR's, while others you don't.

Thats just a common noise when shooing an AR. Spray some teflon lube (Rem oil, CLP, etc...) down the tube and on the spring and it should help.
Or, get a CS buffer spring.

They all do that. When there is no sproing, there is something wrong.

Don't slather it on, it'll just attract dirt and grime.
