I took my new DPMS out for the 2nd time today.  Last time I took it out, I sighted it in at 50 yards and it was pretty much dead-on with no wind at all.  Between range trips, I had it out a few times and flipped my UTG rear sight up and down a couple times but never touched the windage adjustments.  I took it out today and it was about 2-3 inches left at 100 yards.  The wind was blowing pretty hard, maybe 20 mph from right to left.  I was shooting 55 grain reloads.  What should I blame: wind, crappy rear sight, or the fact that I only sighted it in at 50 yards the first time?

That's pretty self explanatory.  I guess I can blame the wind.  I had no idea it would drift that much.  I'm more used to a .270, which isn't affected by the wind as much.  Thanks for the chart.

There is nothing that flys that isn't affected by wind, gravity, elevation, etc.  The list goes on and on, and is long.
That's just a few factors in becoming a marksman.
If you shoot 100 yards or less this is not a real consideration, unless you shoot a .22 LR.
