| Would like to know if LMTs are junk |
|
The Reason why I ask the question is because I was at a gun store and they were picking on the LMT more compare to other AR's.
I think they are better then other AR's on the market. I thought posting it on the AR15 forum I would get a better understanding on the weapon. I do understand that gun shops like to push what they have on the floor. |

If it was employees talking shit about the LMT's, tell'em to cut you a sweet deal on it and you'll clear out the "junk" for them. |

My one and only AR is a LMT and i really like it. Fit and finish is good and so far it runs great.
Seems to be awhile back they had let a few substandard guns slip past QC and people jumped all over them about it. Then the issue about the MIM gas key still lingers around. My BCG has the MIM key but you know what, it works and I don't lose any sleep over it at night. The only thing I don't like about LMT is that they haven't come out with a mid-length. |

I'd like to know what particular aspects of the LMT they were bashing, and what they were pushing as a "better" alternative. |

This shop is a Remington/Bushmaster/DPMS dealer. Even if they stock LMT products, their margins on the ones they are trying to get you to buy are better. No more complicated than $$$. In my opinion, LMT makes workhorse, no-nonsense rifles. Built to do a job well and not look fancy in the process. I've got three LMT MRP rifles and love each one. Maybe it's time to buy another.... |

LMT is really good, but I would not say it is the best. If you are looking to buy a top quality item at a fair price then LMT Uppers and rifles are very very good and worth your hard earned dollars. I have a couple of LMTs in the stable. I do however think that the new tactical charging handle from LMT looks, handles, and feels the best in my opinion. I also bought a Complete upper with the enhanced BCG and Bolt. That upper had to go back to the factory to be reworked as it didn't work for me or them––-but those were the OBAMA-mania days. Hopefully stuff like that doesn't make it out of the factory anymore.
I should say that the upper once returned worked correctly. Guardian |
