does anyone make a 24" upper or barrel for that matter in 6.8spc??

the way I understand it, the 6.8 does well from shorter barrels and doesn't realize the benefit of the extra barrel length like some of the other calibers.  Don't think I have ever seen a 24 incher.

The only 24" barrel I've seen was on a bolt gun.  T/C makes 23" barrels for their G2's.  STAG makes a 20.77" barreled upper.

If I was going to use a 24" barrel I'd look at 6.5 grendel cartridge.  The 6.5 is a better long rang cartridge IMHO especially with longer barrels.  With shorter barrels the two cartridges are more comparable in performance.

+1  go 6.5 if you want a 24in barrel and real long range.    6.8 out of  ~18in will do you very well too though.  Personally I would stick with 6.8, just maybe a but shorter barrel.
