[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Enidine Buffers

I dId a search but found nothing on this subject. I have an Enidine bugger on my Bushmaster carbine. It rarely locks the bolt to the rear when the magazine is empty. This happened with the first Enidine I bought, which was returned to Bushmaster for a replacement, but this one does the same thing. Is this typical of these buffers?

When I have this issue with any buffer, I grind down the plastic end a bit. It can take a VERY little bit of extra length to prevent locking. Check that your stock screw is not too far into the buffer tube, also.

I have hydralic buffers like those I have never had a problem with not locking back on a empty mag but do have problems with manually locking back the bolt with the bolt release.

ETA: My M4's recoil is noticeably tamer with the Enidine buffer.

run it more.

i ran one for a while and it wouldn't lock back for the first few hundred rounds. after that it settled in and worked perfectly.

i replaced it with a standard buffer to streamline all of my AR's.

Are you shooting off the bench? Or standing?

I broke mine.

1st is broke the stake and the end of it unscrewed from the shaft.

2nd it then started puking hydraulic fluid.

Couldn't ever get a response from enidine about possible warranty replacement or even a piss off you shot it so much what did you expect.

See, that's just shooting yourselves in the foot. Manufacturers who warantee their product get to inspect them after they replace them, so they can improve their products to resist that problem in the future.
