I have to admit...I want every AR you guys talk about....but now after the replies for DD, Spikes,Colt
and many others I saw the LMT and thought it was nice too for the price... http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=143563820 what say...I like the DD and this one.....in a couple weeks...I'll have the cash for 2 ARs.....and one will be a Colt......(just because I don't have one) whats the best deal from the other two ?? if the link doesn't work...its the LMT Defender 2000 M-4 for around 1000 bucks... I just would like some feedback....thanks |
| I actually have a LMT MRP on order and have shot the DD. Right now, I personally feel that the DD with the $250 dollar rebate card would be the better buy. Also, even though it is a debatable issue, The DD comes with a chrome lined barrel (hammer forged I believe) and that may be something to consider since the LMT you posted is a Stainless barrel. From personal experience, I have found the SS barrels to only have a minimal edge in accuracy from the rifles I've personally shot.. |

I appreciate the feedback....I see many ARs...it would be nice if they listed the specs on each one side
by side. I've heard the pros and cons for LMT and DD...and they are both top notch weapons. I've always owned Bushmasters and have 3 of them, but now I'll have a little money here shortly and just torn between the two......I will just keep reading .....this is a great site to learn....thanks |

I'll more than likely get flammed for posting this but, here is "the chart" that list most of the manufacturers specifications. This is the older one I believe and I think that DD has been added to the new one.

Upper is middy with stainless barrel. LMT does not market stainless barrels or middys. |

Quoted: <snip> ...I saw the LMT and thought it was nice too for the price... There's a saying about something that's too good to be true... http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=143563820 </snip> I can assure you that's not a factory LMT upper receiver. Like Richard257 mentioned, LMT does not make midlength OR stainless barrels, and this one claims to have both. If you want an LMT, order one from a reputable authorized dealer and stay far away from GunBroker. That seller is pretty obviously a fraud, claiming that the rifle is a "New Complete Standard LMT Defender 2000 M4". Right now, I'd say get the DD or the Colt. The DD is a great deal right now, especially considering the $250 gift card you get with the rifle for DD accessories. |
