I don't kno for sure the difference in coatings but i'd venture to guess that they're both GTG. From what I have handled, LMT and CMMG are a lighter gray/brown finish while Colt, RRA, and BCM have a smoother machined exterior with a deeper black parkerized finish.

It's funny.

People speak so highly of BCM BCGs (I own two), but, my ONLY ftf was with BCM BCG.  Good ammo (PMC), seemed like a light primer strike.

Doesn't sound like a BCG problem if you had a light primer strike, but maybe Im not reading this properly.
