ugh... to me looking through a handle mounted optic if awful. I have to lift my head up so high its off the stock. Gooseneck setups are better; but just get a flat top if you are going to put a high dollar optic on their. Otherwise IMO its full potential is waisted.

thanks for the pics, i have an a3 flattop with the handle on it, i just like the way it looks but havent been able to shoot this type of setup. i would like to see if it fits me befor i dump money on the aimpiont. i have to sell an eotech 512 to get it.......decisions, never satisfied with what i have

One with scout mount is way to go. Others take a raised head off the stock and dont allow for proper cheek weld.

Granted one can get used to this but if you have other weapons that you practice a proper cheek weld with it is not a good technique.

Cheek weld (or nose weld) is more important with a scope or irons, less so with a red dot.
