i want to build a lower for the 1st time. it will be an spr or recce so i'll be getting a geissele ssa trigger. is an armalite LPK of good quality.? any different than dpms or rra lpks? also, what tools will i need? is the geissele difficult to install? i thought of having denny put it together if the trigger is too much of a bitch but i want the satisfaction of building my own.

Armalite LPK is good to go. I've now put together 3 lowers, and it's easy as pie. All you need are a a good set of punches, mainly for installing the roll pins, and a hammer. I've installed a Geissele SSA. It goes in just like the regular trigger, is easier in fact since you don't have to line up the trigger and disconnector holes. Nothing to adjust either. Installing it is a breeze.

Make sure you post pics when it's done! You'll love that trigger. Here is a Sabre Defence lower I assembled myself with a Geissele SSA trigger. If someone as mechanically challenged (i.e. "all thumbs") as me can do it, anyone can!

Seriously, I was almost disappointed after I put my lower together... like, "That's it?"  I had set aside an hour and it only took a few minutes.
