I'm gonna build myself an AR. I have two...well one technically. I have a bone-stock open sights 6920LE and a Sig 556 with TROY BR and a CompM4. I'm leaning towards an LMT complete lower with NM and SOPMOD stock for my new build. That way, there won't be much I want to upgrade.

For the upper I'm thinking either a Stealth upper or Noveske. But, I'm really, really leaning towards the Noveske Afghan complete upper. I've heard over and over how durable, reliable, and tack-driver accurate they are. However, I can't find ONE source for an available upper. Noveske's sight says they are all on temporary back order and they won't be taking any orders. I shot them an e-mail a few days ago and haven't heard back yet (it is, however, Labor Day weekend). Is there anyone else I should check with on availability of Noveske stuff? I know that pretty much anything Noveske is considered GOLD and highly sought after. Or, should I give Noveske a call? I'm hoping for some help for people who've bought Noveske stuff before. Thanks for the help!!!

Well I own a Noveske but I placed my order with them last December before they stopped taking orders.  I took delivery at the end of May.  I have absolutely no idea what their current lead time is.  Pretty sure they have moved to an in-stock only ordering system, IE. only stuff listed as in-stock on the website is for sale.

Noveske stuff is starting to show up a little more. I believe PK has some in stock, Gun Gallery had some in stock a week ago too, so does Bravo Co. You may need to swap handguards for a rail and have the barrel chopped to 14.5 if that's what you really want. You'll probably have to decide if you HAVE to get the Afghan or can make due with making your own or having something a little different. Unless you don't mind waiting for Noveske to make another run of Afghan upper.

In the last 6 months i have completed a larue build and am 1/2 the way done with a noveske spr build( got barrel and semi-complete lower).  Noveske is GREAT, but you have to constantly check their website for stuff, search ee and gunbroker, or my favorite, be very, very, nice to Sherry.  That being said, larue has some of the most accurate uppers out there, check out their site and read some reviews.  I went with a 16 inch larue stealth upper w/13.2 inch handgurads (my recceish build) one hell of a shooter.  The plus to larue is that is a 16 week waiting period regardless, noveske you have to kindof get lucky.  Either way you go, you will be very happy, both rifles are baddasss!  good luck!  Oh yea, get a larue or noveske lower to complete your build, I had too and am very, very pleased (especially w/LaRue lower).

From a source that has a connect to them. They are backed up now because they had a lot of orders come in early during O's administration. Once they clear them out they'll start taking orders again.

I just finished my last build with a Noveske 18" barrel and Larue 13.2 handguard. Right now because of the backorder, you are better off making your own because you can find Noveske stripped barrels.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding you, but Noveske is showing some complete N4 carbine uppers on their site right now.
