So I hate to do this since Im sure it has been discussed before, but I can not find info on it anywhere.

Who has experience with the Troy Medieval flash hider?

I am trying to determine which flash hider I want to order. I like the look of the Medieval, however, the look of it isnt as important of how well it actually functions. With that being said I dont really care if it looks cool if it doesn't function all that well.

I have heard praise for the AAC Blackout and the Smith Vortex. Ive also heard good reviews on the YHM phantom. Out of those three I would be inclined to go with AAC, but I am mainly wanting to get info on the Troy. Can anyone help?

not sure about the troy but I have the Smith Vortex and that shit is the bomb.  I don't think I've ever been able to see the flash since I put that on.

My wife loves her Medieval flash hiders on her carbines.  At least as good as the A2 flash-hider.

I have a Medieval muzzle brake on my 6.8 and there is very little flash (and more powder than a 5.56 to burn too).

thanks for the info. Im not quite sure if it really helps or not, but thanks again.

I guess my thinking is that if no one can definitively say that this is definitely better than an A2, or comparable to X,  Y, or Z suppressors, then I am not sure I want to spend $45 on one. Especially considering that the Vortex and AAC are right in that price range as well. Like I said, I like the look of the Medieval, but looks are secondary to function. .

Who knows. I suppose that maybe a call to Troy Industries may get me some info on how well it works. Perhaps a link to some 3rd party testing or something.

Thanks again to all that answered.
