Here's my dilemma..I absolutely love the DI platform but wanted a little diversity in the collection. The only piston set ups I will have once the stamp comes in is a LWRC 10.5" A2 and a LMT 12" MRP..I have an opportunity to get ONE of the following uppers, what would you choose? It will be runned suppressed primarily and I currently have (3) 10.5", and (1) 8.5" DI's and need some advice from the herd..

8" PSD
10.5" A3
12.7 A3

so what would you get?

ETA: Even though the majority suggested the 12.7, I ended up getting the PSD. Since I already have a few 10.5" and a LMT MRP 12" piston on the way, it's the reason i went with it..thanks for all the replies and suggestions..BTW, I will not run it suppressed..the LMT will be though with a Knights NT4

I voted 12.7". Easier on the suppressor.

From the reports on other boards with respect to the PSD, that would be the one I'd like personally, in both 556 and 68

10.5" and it's never FTF and never jammed and never...

It's flawless. Nice work LWRC!

I initially inquired about the PSD but saw that the A3 now is available in 10.5" and 12.7" so, that's where I'm torn at the moment..

Can't have any of those  Do have a 16" M6a2

I think the PSD would be cool

In 5.56 I would go with the 12.7" , if 6.8  go with the PSD.

can anyone give any specifics of the PSD in 5.56 vs 6.8 in regards to only shooting under 100 yards? Has anyone who owns a PSD had issues with the 5.56? I know the PSD's intended development was for the 6.8 cartridge but, I want to be able to put thousands of rounds down this thing without breaking the bank..I plan on reloading but not anytime in the near future...I already own a 10.5" 6.8 DI but haven't shot it past 100 yards..

I voted for the PSD.

You need to post a AR family pic or your collection Every time I see you post you're buying another sweet setup to go with all the others I've seen you post from before.

have you had any issues running the PSD suppressed?

PSD if you go 6.8.  The shortest barrel I would go on a 5.56 is a 10.5 inch barrel.

I think you can only get the 10.5 inch LWRC in an M6A2.  I don't think they offer it in an A3 (though it shows it on their web site)
I don't think they are currently offering that, only prototypes have been seen.  Last I heard they are not offered to the public.

Yes they just came out with the a3. I just picked up my m6a3 10.5 in upper last evening and it runs great with a Gemtech Halo on my m16 lower.  If you can find one get it.  It is worth every penny.

Since I already have (3) 10.5"'s I went with the PSD in MRE to match one of their lowers I have..I decided on the PSD cause I have a switchblock upper already so that fills my void for suppressed settings in an upper...thanks for all the advice..

That is a sexy beast.  You do need to get a family portrait as it sounds like you have quite a collection, include suppressors as well as I love the look of them and can't wait until I can afford to get one now that they are legal in my state.

Isn't there a saying something along the line of "2 is one and 1 is none"...a pair a PSD's would be sick (in a good way)...
