A little history - my first AR was an Olympic.  The only thing that remains from that rifle is the lower and the LPK minus the trigger (it was replaced with a nice trigger).  I want to replace the LPK with a quality kit.  I haven't had any problems with the parts yet, but I would just be more comfortable getting the Oly parts out of there.  I'm ok with the lower itself and it seems to be in spec and everything I have installed on it has fit wonderfully.  I just want to replace the LPK.  So who makes the best kit that is available/in stock somewhere?

I've heard good things from White Oak Arms LPK's, and you can get them sans trigger from ADCO.  It'd save you a few bucks.

Just buy the CMT kit and you'll basically have a Colt LPK unless someone can prove why they both have the same stampings in the same places and every forging mark is not only in the same place but looks the same as well. JFYI

Good point.  So if I buy a Stag LPK, I'm getting a CMT right?

Both Anvil Arms and Armalite have excellent LPKs.

The Anvil one is my favorite.

Specialized Armament has them.  But they are 200 dollars.  Most people wont pay that much for an LPK...........but those are alll I buy.

I've seen a few, but the nicest I've seen is RR.  DPMS didn't look bad, but I think some people had problems with them.  I won't pay 200 for a LPK when 65 gets me RR

I'll be the first to say-

If it ain't broke, why fix it.

This.  Its not like your takedown pins are going to snap in half or anything.  At most I'd replace a bolt catch but even then if it wasn't broken I wouldn't bother.

I've had Colt, Bushmaster, Anvil, RRA and DPMS lpk's.  Of these, the kits from Anvil Arms have been the nicest, followed by RRA.  They just fit better, and the triggers have been considerably smoother.

...just my personal experience.
