A bit of an old thread but there are some 20"ers in there.

My second build is a 20" but it's just a lower half right now. I'm waiting for Bravo Company to get some 20" uppers in.

CMMG has 20" government profile barrels in stock right now. AFAIK, they're left overs from a big batch run, no idea how much longer they'll be around

Is it as good as the BCM one?

If I said anything was as good as BCM, I'd have my head on a pike...around here anyways

Chrome lined, 1/7 twist, properly staked gas key, F marked FSB, 4150 steel - I won't say its BCM, but its gotta be pretty damn close. A complete A3 style upper (BCG and all) is $600.

I wont pull the trigger anytime soon, im still trying to decide between 16 inch and 20inch.
I just see all the neat mid-lengths around and barely any 2oinchers.

I guess ill have to just get both

But which one first......

I went with a 20" for my first gun. Pretty much gonna be a plain jane, 20" CMMG A3 upper with carry handle iron sights on a RRA NM lower.

Next gun will be a 16" middy with rail, Eotech (or something similar), all the cool stuff.

After that, something fun/different. Either an AR 10 or beowulf upper.

After that, probably another 20", but tricked out with ACOG, nice rail, etc.

Oh wait, I still don't even have my first one...Still, there's just so many damn ones I want.

Edit: instead of post whoring, I will post a picture in hopefully ~3 weeks

Man, where did you get that?  I was told they made them from time to time but got sick of looking and ended up with the 1:9" HBAR.

don't forget an SPR (18" barrel) and an SBR.

I really like the18 SPR, was considering it when I couldn't pick between the 16 and 20....must resist the urge to spend every dollar I have....

I'm working my way into the 'cool' shorter barrel stuff - doesn't quite have my attention yet. That said, an SBR platform shooting something like a .45 does appeal to me.

My mutt that's been posted here before. It looks funny, but it works for me.

Here are a couple of 20" pic threads, take your pick either A2 fixed carry handle or M16A4 flat top clone.

The pic of my 20" A2 clone rifle is posted here.

If it's going to be your first AR I would recommend getting a 16" midlength gas system carbine, like a BCM carbine.

Buy a complete upper from Bravo Company and buy a complete BCM lower from Denny's Guns/ Global Tactical then just push the two takedown pins in, you got yourself a very good 16" midlength carbine.

After you get your first carbine I'm sure Black Rifle Disease will make you get another AR, a 20" rifle.
