I have a Sabre Defense 24 " barrel with M4 extension and a DPMS Low Pro without M4 ramps.  Somewhere on here it says that is not the best but OK.  I will be shooting targets with heavier bullets.  Has anyone ever used this combination or something like it with 69 grain plus bullets?  Any problems?  The barrel cost quite a bit, so I want an upper that performs right.  Guess I could see if ADCO would cut ramps in the upper, but I am not sure that would do anything good.

try it and see.

If  it feeds good then fine if not try other mags.

Send off if needed.

You could always try to do it yourself and go real slow with a fine file.

On a non carbine why is there an obsession with having M4 cuts?  The M16, M16A1, M16A2, M16A3 and M16A4 all work well without them.

Sounds like you have a fine setup with what you have.  I would sugges as the last poster did, lube and shoot.  You have a non issue.

In the Industry section, I asked DPMS if they were going to do a Lo-Pro with M4 ramps.  The answer is that all their assempled uppers and rifles have them, but stripped uppers do not.  I checked a DPMS upper and there they are. Go figure.  Personally, I don't give a hoot for or against the ramps.  I just want to make sure these heavier bullets will cause no problems.  I am 66 and can't clearly see the food on my plate, so dremeling is out of the question for me.
