No you need an 11in to fully cover a middy with gas block.

It will leave about a half inch showing

The new Troy TRX Battle Rails have 11" versions.  The TRX Extreme is out now, the TRX Standard is still a few weeks away, if NOT more.

The TRX Extreme is a cylinder with a top rail and several short bolt on rails to put where you like.

The TRX Standard is the typical Quad Rail, still a few weeks away before they start shipping, and there are probably a lot of back-orders to fill before they get to new orders.  I'm one of the back orders.

The TRX has its own barrel nut and its monolithic, meaning one piece.  You said you're using a LP gas block, so that should NOT be a problem, if you were going to use a FSB, you'd have to pull it to put this rail on.  You will have to pull the barrel nut and replace it with TRX barrel nut, it uses the same tools as the standard nut.

Slight warning on the Troy TRX barrel nuts.  The teeth can sheer off pretty easy even at 35 ft. lbs.  I spoke to Tom @ Troy yesterday and Troy is working on hardening their barrel nut.  Also the tooth deminsions are slightly smaller than a standard barrel nut adding to the fragility.

The FDE rifle has a 12' MRF covering a 16" Denny's Operator (mid) using a DD LP gas block.
