Does anyone have any experience with these?  (It;s like an A2 fixed stock, but shorter ahd squattier).  I've bought two in the last two weeks, one from Brownell's, one from Model 1.  In both, the screw that holds the stock to the buffer tube is too tight, and I can't screw it in without stripping it.  It seems to be tapping oujt the buffer threads to a larger size.  It goes about a quarter of the way in (too loose to hold the stock in), and then stops.  Am I doing something wrong?

First, is there thread locker on the screw?  It can make the screw much more difficult to install.  If so remove some or all of it and use liquid loctite in it's place.

Secondly, you need to use the proper screw driver, if it's a standard A1 or A2 upper stock screw you are referring to, than I have found that a standard 3/8" slotted (flat head) driver works well.  They make special parallel edge drivers for these types of screws, but it isn't absolutely needed.

I just went through this last week, the driver is key.

Thanks for the info.  As an FYI. I. showed it to a buddy with a machine shop.  He said that the buffer is a standard 1/4 x 20 thread, but the screw is a 1/4 x 28.  Like I said, I had the problem with two of these.  Looks like a bad batch from whoever really makes them for Rock River and Model 1.
