[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Pinned AAC Blackout?

Was just wondering if anyone has put a AAC Blackout flash suppressor on their 14.5" barrel and had it pinned and welded? Are they worth the extra expense to do, because it looks like ADCO charges around $100 to do it? Pictures would be appreciated.

Just had a friend of mine at work blind pin a SCAR-H mount on my 14.5" AR-10. I thought about sending it to ADCO(who I have used before and does great work) after reading why they charge extra on their site. He said he could do it no problem. He did a great job. Got it back the next day and free of charge.

I have one one pinned on my 14.5" bushmaster.
A local smith did it for $120.
But I wouldn't hesitate to send it to ADCO for the next upper.
You only have one shot with threads, especially if you are hanging a $1000 can off of them.
