I'm wanting to buy a new barrel for my Larue stealth upper and am looking at a couple but cant decide which to go with, so you guys help me out. I wanting to build this gun for accuracy, I already have a 6920 and a 16" M4 style 6.8SPC, so this one I will be going with a low pro gas block and longer FF rail but just don't know which barrel to get. So here are my options and I need your best openions as to which barrel would be best for this kinda build.
Thanks, EWP White Oak Armament 18: SPR Stainless Steel Match Grade Barrel w/M4 Extension ■18″ Stainless Steel Match Grade Barrel ■1:7 Twist ■Mid Length Gas System ■Special Purpose Rifle Profile ■.223 Wylde Chamber ■Bead Blasted Finish or White Oak Armament 16″ Stainless Steel Match Grade Barrel w/M4 Extension ■16″ Stainless Steel Match Grade Barrel ■1:7 Twist ■Midlength Gas System ■.223 Wylde Chamber ■Bead Blasted Finish or Daniel Defense 16.1″ Recon 5.56mm Barrel w/mid gas system ■4150 Steel 1:7 Twist ■Chrome Lined ■Mid length gas system ■M4 feedramps ■1⁄2 X 28 TPI ■Black Milspec Finish ■Medium Contour ■MP Tested |

if you're thinking about a long range tack driver go with the WOA SS barrels. I dont think the extra 2" in the 18" will make a big difference and the mid length gas system was specifically created for the 16" barrel. If you are installing long rails the 16" would look better IMO. Chrome lining is for durability and not accuracy. All things being equal, a SS barrel will be more accurate than a chrome lined one.
That being said I have a WOA SS 18" barrel that I'm thinking about chopping down to 14.5" negating all my previous thoughts so take my opinion with a grain of salt... -erne |

Quoted:
WOA in the 18 inch variety, IMO This is the way I'd go ETA: If you're not shooting past 400yds a 14.5" or 16" will be fine. Check out the Denny's Operator 16.1", this is what I used on my new Recce. I know they're out of stock but he should be getting more soon. The 5R rifling is what is used in .mil sniper rifles |

More opinions open and welcome!

| OK I bought the 16.1" DD Recon Barrel while Rainer had them in stock for $295, so anyone else looking for a good deal on a fine Recon barrel it says they don't have many left and might never get them again being a Rainer Exclusive item. This should go nicely with my stealth upper, now what length FF rail will it take to just completely cover a low pro gas block? 10"? 12" |
