My not-Holland.

Even with a fat SWFA on this is a pretty comfy coyote gun to walk around with.

mobile wont let me type outside of quotes......

its a bison 20" 1/7 and bolt, otherwise normal A4 style, chopped FSB. its a lights out shooter, ive broken a clay @ 1035yds with it. i handle my rifles a LOT, thats about 6months of handling.  I prefer my stuff looking like a Deployment or 3 are on it :) it shoots 75 & 80gr ELD-M very well

Hard to argue with those results!

Nowhere near clone, but it fits the bill for SPR.

Mk 12 Mod 0 Inspired build with some liberties taken for my own preferences.

20" Wilson Combat .224 Valkyrie Barrel with a Superlative Arms Piston System (had to mill out the front of the handguard a little to get the gas block to fit). Colt CS Stock, Leupold Mk IV 4.5-14x Mildot Scope, Elftmann Match Trigger, Atlas Bipod, Aero Upper & Lower, and JP Enterprises Silent Capture Spring.

I just rattle-canned her today to give it the Battle Worn/Distressed look.

Awesome! The Vltor EMOD is just right for SPRs. It's no A2 but it throws you back to the good ol' days!

@RandyLahey It's the Brownells A1 lower. This one is the grey finish.

Put about 450 rounds of 62gn green tip through this one yesterday. It was pretty windy, so I just banged the plate at 360 yards for a while from prone. Really liking the Elite Iron bipod and the Proof Research carbon fiber barrel. All those rounds fired at a slow but steady pace and the barrel was lukewarm at best. Having the bipod legs above barrel makes for a really stable platform. You don’t feel like you’re balancing on top of the legs. I leave the bipod loose enough to be able to pivot the rifle inside the ring. It helps with uneven ground and even prone mag changes.

sorry guys, didnt see the replys!
the Handguard is actually an eBay sourced, machined AL one. its great quality.

the lower was actually an 80% that braceman engraved for me ;). looks legit tho! I milled it out myself. Always wanted a Diemaco lower and this works well

Not sure what a Mk12 is (oh, I'm terrible, I know.....)

But I do have a couple 18" barreled AR15s.

Don't have all the parts list for them either.  One is a PSA upper and the other is one I put together from parts.  The expensive parts are the bolt and the barrel.  It doesn't outshoot the PSA upper though.  Not with 55 grain FMJ Hornady's anyway.

Scope on this one is a bit disappointing.  Not as good as the scope on the first one.  Same maker (Bushnell), different model.

The first one (PSA upper).

I've discovered, for this style/size AR I really like the A1 fixed stocks.  I can shoot an A2, I just feel more comfortable not trying to stretch the kinks out of my neck trying to get a nose to charging handle cheek weld.

I have one setup pretty close to yours, 18" BCM NM barrel and a colt Bcg, 4x12 hawke scope. It honestly is a fantastic rifle, great bench and offhand accuracy, it amazes me! I use an A2 stock but I am pretty tall so it works. Nice rifles!

I like your truck.  I had a 1990 F150 4WD in Tuxedo White.  I regularly wish I'd kept it.  Every time I have to work on that darn 05 Silverado that replaced it.  251,000 miles with the original engine, clutch/pressure plate, transmission, transfer case and rear end (and u-joints).

The skateboard tape on the stock of the 2nd rifle was for cheek weld.  I've gotten a new scope mount that moved the scope further forward and let me get a good nose to the charging handle cheek weld so I took the skateboard tape off (easier on my cheek, too).

Need some input on my SPR build.

I’m stuck with which stock to go with my 18” SPR.

I’m torn between the following:

Magpul UBR 2.0
Magpul ACL

Any thoughts as to which would be a better route?

I had a UBR for about 2 weeks. Went back to a regular old A2. I'm by no means a pro, but I just liked the balance better with the A2. UBR felt heavy and ungainly.
