Am I missing something? I find cases for 300 bucks. I just want a cheap hard case. Hell I will cut my own foam insert. I dont need a case that doubles as a bomb shelter. Anyone see them anywhere for like 50 bucks?

If you only want to pay $50 just get a soft case instead.  It will provide as much protection as a cheap hard case will.

Okay, thanks I found it at Cabelas. http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/product/standard-item.jsp?id=0059540290485a&navCount=0&podId=0059540&parentId=cat20772&masterpathid=&navAction=jump&catalogCode=2UG&rid=&parentType=index&indexId=cat20772&cmCat=netcon&cm_ven=netcon&cm_cat=Google&cm_pla=cabelas%20rifle%20case&cm_ite=netcon&hasJS=true

Ya I dont know why,  I just find spending more then 100$ for a plastic case shell absolutley ridiculous. It perturbs me how things are marked up because they are for "special items" and have special cut foam inserts haha. Its freakin foam. I must be missing something. And hey Plano, it matches my tackle box. Okay thanks for the advice, appreciate the replies.

I have two Plano gun cases.  No way would I ever trust them to, say, an airline.  They keep it from getting dinged up in the trunk of my car, but they are NOT secure cases.  For traveling it's all about the Pelican/Storm cases.
