Well it looks like I am going to buy my first this week.  I am going to get a 16" RRA in .223 flatop with 6 position stock.  I want the end result to have a detachable scope sighted in at 100 yards, a laser sighted in at 30 yards, a flashlight and a bi-pod.  I mostly hunt in a stand and will use it for hogs.  With everything in mind which is the best of the following options?

1.  light weight barrel with no front sights but with picatiny
2.  light weight barrel with front sight
3.  heavy carbine
4.  heavy barrel - M4

Thanks for the advise.  Please post any pics if you have anything like this.

Since you're going to be using it for more than just plinking I recommend having iron sights as a back up for your scope.  You could either go with a barrel that has a front sight on it or, add one to a railed gas block.  I'd pass on the laser.

if i were you i would get a 16" SS barrel for better accuracy
I would stick with a laser for hogs maybe even laser light combo, i have my ar set up to shoot hogs and a laser is nice for close running shots, not sure why you would want a buis tho.
i would not go with a lite weight barrel for my set up, i want accuracy to be priority
