| Im looking to get one of these. Anyone with experience good or bad, please give your two cents here. Thanks anyone who comments. |

These are the best triggers I have ever shot. They beat out my JP, Jewel, Chip McCormick, and blew away my buddies Giselle. I just recently trashed a Chip McCormick in favor of a Timney for my SPR.
I shoot bullseye pistol and Im a freak about triggers, it would be easy to go with the flow and say Giselle, but after shooting both, hands down I pick Timney. |

I have installed Timneys in a couple of my builds, great trigger. I was concerned about the ability of the three pounder to fire CCI #41 primers, I no longer have that concern. My latest build (LaRue stealth 18/13.2, on a Larue lower) has an American Gold trigger, from Brownells. I have not used it enough to form a solid opinion, but it appears to be of excellent quality. A bit more robust than the Timneys but $120.00 more money. Time will tell. |

I have the skeletonized 3lb version which you can get down in the 2s if you want by adjusting the trigger rebound screw.
It is very, very short pull. I tried it for 3-gun and I just couldn't get use to it being so light. The problem was trying to get a consistent double tap. There just wasn't enough rebound on the trigger for me. IMO the hammer spring feels rather light which I'm sure helps keep pull weight down but probably won't match the locktime of the Jewel or Geissele (fastest). I recently checked pull weights of some of my triggers and: Geissele Match 2.5lb ––1st stage / 3.0 at letoff Timney 3lb 2.5lb –– at letoff with not much if any takeup Jewel 1lb –– 1st stage / 1.5 at letoff I'm trying the jewel this year for 3-gun so we'll see what happens. I ordered an original unadjustable one from ColdWarShooters years ago. Just got over 2000 rounds on it and it started doubling. allbedarned. I remember reading about this issue a while ago but assumed mine wasn't one of them.
I called and they said send it back, we test and send you a new one. Two weeks later i got a new one,no receipt,no questions. ++1 service. The new style has a set screw on the disconnect to adjust/fix the issue. Works great as shipped. easy to install. I have a hard time wanting to shoot my other lowers with standard triggers. I take all of them to the range but I end up switching my timmney lower onto the various uppers instead. |

Anyone know of a place with them in stock? I'm looking for a skeletonized 4.5 i ordered one directly from Timney about a month ago, received it in a week. What did it say for stock at the time? Right now it says -293 so not sure how long of a wait that equates to. |

I have 2, one in a .22 and one in a 9mm. I love them. does the 9mm beat up the hammer a lot? I mean severe? or no more than what a 5.56 would. I can't see any extra wear on the hammer. I have little idea how many rounds I have through it. It is in an SBR lower that I have shot with 5.56 and .22 (before I had a dedicated .22). I do have KNS pins in it. |

I have 2500+ rounds on the 3 lb in my 5.56 and flawless to this point , 500+ on the 4lbs in my 7.62, same thing . Hits all primers hard never a FTF . No creep and Crisp break . Fine piece of machinery IMHO I have the same triggers in the same calibers as you do but I don't have quite as many rounds on the 3 lb. I am really pleased with them, and I have some Geissele trigers as well. The Timneys are very crisp and I probably prefer them over anything else I have tried. But I must say, a Bill Springfield trigger tuneup of a stock trigger offers an excellent price/performance ratio. |
