Wow,
I've wanted an AR for years and when I can finally afford one the price went through the roof (yeah, Obama was elected somewhere in between). I really just wanted an M-15A2 just like I learned to shoot in the Army with plain old iron sights; UNTIL I started reading (lurking around) this forum. I finally bought an S&W MP15 Tactical. It showed up yesterday and I feel like the kid in "A Christmas Story" with my "Red Rider BB gun." I don’t remember the last time I was this excited about a purchase. I know the barrel isn’t the best and I probably paid too much but its MINE and I’m no longer waiting for what may or may not show up in the future. yes, good choice. i love my M&P15T. right now i have a spike's tactical 37mm launcher, just for fun and looks.
i also got a M&P 40S&W. its a good combo. i upgraded to the M&P handgun only because i hated my sigma and S&W had the mag promo. its a sweet ass gun. hope you love yours like i love mine. robert |

I've had my m&p15t for a while now and love it.
OP one of the first things you want to do besides ammo is get a front grip. I have the larue one on mine and it makes a big difference. Really helps hold up the gun better(the big rails like that troy one add a good deal of weight). |

I know the barrel isn’t the best and I probably paid too much but its MINE the milspec junkies got you too huh? do not fear the barrel, and do not think its not great. the 4150 vs 4140 barrel has gone on for YEARS, and the 4140 barrels keep plowing along. you would figure like the global warming junkies, they would lose their argument when barrels dont wear out and the temps have been decreasing. its like a Ferrari vs.Lamborghini. the take different approaches but both get you there in style

That's a great looking AR. I'm sure that you will get a lot of pleasure out of owning and shooting it.
Know what you mean about the "kid on Christmas" feeling. As nice as it is and as happy as you are it sounds to me like you got a great deal on it. Don't fret about whether or not you could have saved a few bucks by waiting for who knows how long to get your rifle. You have it in your hands now and can enjoy it now. |
