I am torn between the DD lite rail and the Omega rail for my new 6920, but like the fact that the lite rail has the continuous uninterrupted upper rail platform and the Omega doesnt. Are there any other good FF rails than the top rail connects (matches up to) the upper receiver rail to make it continuous?

Any advice would be much appreicated, thanks in advance!

There are quite a few manufactures that offer rails as you mentioned.
Do you want a two piece or one piece rail? IMHO one peice are better, but more involved in the install process.

Troy

these companies offer monolithic style rails systems that do not require the removal of the FSB and or barrel nut.

One piece for sure, I want it as strong as possible were mounting an optic on it would never be a problem if needed, so who make good one piece Mono rails other than DD?

Is $268 a good price for the DD lite 7" rail? and is the DD barrel wrench needed or will my DPMS armors tool do the job?

YHM Diamond. Sharp looking, one piece and less than 1/2 the cost too

They usually run about $265. Yes you will need the DD wrench to install the barrel nut. Get the Lite...you won't be disappointed.

The Omegas have uninterupted top rails so I'm not sure why you wouldn't want it.  I only took mine off because I decided I wanted more real estate.  Should've gotten the omega 12 but I got a great deal on a TROY MRF-R, which was a pain to install because I couldn't find a lo-pro gas block while I had my upper looking all simple and everything.  Thank God the FSB/bayo lug/sling swivel can be cut with a metal blade and ground down on a bench grinder :)

I think you'll do well with the Omega.  It does take more than 5 mins to install, but less than 20.  Adjusting the allen heads takes the longest part of it.  Ebay will sell omegas––-i've seen 'em for $239 there.  Good luck on your addition!

Unless they changed something the Omega rail is continuous.

I have one and love it, the thing is rock solid. Took all of 15 minutes to install.

Not the greatest photo to illustrate my point but if you look close you can see it.
