I'm looking for someone who can correctly drill and pin on a new front sight base that ISN'T $100.00.....

I had ADCO do mine.  However it was around $150 but that included the FSB and assembly of the barrel to the upper receiver as well.  A very fair price if you ask me and the work was excellent.

Including the FSB? Good luck on that one.

If you already have an FSB, ADCO will do it for $90.

Gotta pay to play.  To have something done right, $100 just doesn't seem all that outrageous.

It's not.  The original poster seems to think it's 25 years ago; when that kind of job would have been $35-$40,

In todays world; of the $90-$100 a smith will charge; he'll end up w/about $45-$50, for 2 hours work. If he's any good (and ADCO is) I call that a bargain.
