[ARCHIVED THREAD] - LAR

Do any of you have experience with LAR? They make a line of .50s, and also have some AR models. I recently recieved a gift certificate to LAR, and I am trying to decide which AR to get. I don't want to setup and feed a .50, but I am curious about their ARs. Any feedback is appreciated.

By the way, LAR was a sponsor at a recent NRA "Tactical Police Competiton." Thats how I ended up with the gift certificate. So thanks to LAR for that. I just can't find anything about them on the internet other than their website.

I don't think LAR manufactures complete AR's, if they do I have never seen one.

As far as I know they only sell stripped upper and lower receivers.

LAR makes lowers for several well-known AR manufacturers.

Did not think they manufactured & sold complete rifles, only receivers and small parts.

Bushmaster lowers with the L prefix and one dimensional snake logo are machined by LAR.I boght some blemished uppers flat top and A2 from them in the past and there real nice..cant find the blemish and they all went together fine.The make quality uppers and lowers but ive never seen a complete rifle.

Thanks. I just got a LAR catolouge which has complete upper halves in several configurations. The web site only shows upper and lower recievers. Must be new. Thanks again for the replies.
