I am starting to look at adapters to mount my Harris BRM-S to a Larue 20" rifle.

Should I skip everything and go straight to LaRue or are there others to consider?

I think LaRue offers more than one option, do they not?

If you don't need a quick detach then Doublestar makes a decent option - Brownell's has them for about 30 bucks.

You'll have a lot of folks here push the "quick detach" Larue Kool-Aide but in all honesty, it doesn't take much to attach and detach a Harris bipod based on how it's built.  Your mileage may vary.

Most guns are bench or range guns.  If you're going to be running around with it, then the QD is useful.

I will likely leave the bipod on 90% of the time. QD isnt mandatory, but I really dig the LaRue quality.

All of my bipods are attached with the LaRue LT-130 and I love them.  I don't know if it was a necessity but if I need something and LaRue makes it, I go with the LaRue version because I can't count on quality every time.  Then again, it's a bipod mount so everyone might not need/want to spend $79.00 on it.  Me, I don't mind at all.

The other option LaRue has is the LT-706 mount and harris BMR-S combo.  This combo is a cannibilized Harris bipod assembled with an integral LaRue mount so there isn't a bipod attached to a mount attached to a handguard.  Just a bipod attached to a handguard.

I haven't tried the combo yet, but my next build requiring a bipod wil use one.

Since the rest of the rifle is LaRue, I think I will just stick with LT throughout.

Question, I cant tell from MyCart on his website if stuff is in stock? Is it?

Are there better places to order than straight from him? Quicker/Cheaper?

I have the Larue mount on two rifles and a KAC bipod mount on my SPR. With the QD I can shift the bipod to another rifle when I want to really do some precision shooting. The KAC is about $50 so somewhat cheaper

I order all my LaRue gear direct from LaRue.  You can call to see if it is in stock.  If they don't have it in stock and you need it quick, check with Bravo Company, Denny, or MSTN

I am going to go with everything LaRue on this rifle, seems fitting.

If anyone has any of the stuff I am looking for, let me know if you are interested in moving it.

I just ordered from LaRue a set of F&R Troy BUIS, ladder covers, and the bipod adapter.

Hope the Troy are all they are cracked up to be, for that kind of money.

Also, when you order Troy BUIS from LaRue are they LaRue marked?

Any opinions on the BUIS?

I have the LaRue LT-104 and the LaRue/Troy folding BUIS.  They are marked LaRue on both (as in the photos on their site) and Troy on another side.  If you use BUIS a lot and not optics (QD the optics) then you might be disappointed.  They are just that "back up"  Windage and elevation aren't fast to adjust on the foldable as you should only need to even use them in a pinch.

Otherwise, they are very solid and work perfectly.  I have mine zeroed in perfectly and I am very happy with them.  They have a nice low profile.  No way its interfering with my optics.

I'll also mention that I have the LaRue QD adapter for my Harris bipod (what you're talking about in your OP).  I love it!  Everyone knows that it is the ****, but its extra $.  If you can spare it, do it.
