[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Chrome Barrel

I purchased a new Colt Government Carbine (AR3520) and was wondering if it has the chrome BORE, not just chamber. The barrel has the "C MP" marking, not the "Cl". It also has a "O" marked in front of the delta ring on the bottom of the barrel, which i have been told categorizes it as a chrome barrel. Any info would be very appreciated...Thx

If it has the O/C marking it is chrome.

The "C" means chrome-lined, and "MP" means magnetic-particle inspected.

Wrong. The C means Colt. The O (which sometimes looks like a C) near the breech indicates chrome lining.
