Well heres the deal, i see different threads with ppl with lots of Larue gear, and lots of Knights gear.  The stuff I am getting for my gun is VLTOR, iv seen good reviews and was curious if anyone had multiple VLTOR items on their gun?  I just ordered my VLTOR CASV-EL rail system, just waiting on it to arrive and will post pics soon.  The next thing im going to get is the EMOD stock i believe (unless i really get  some good news on the MAGPUL CTR stock)

Is an 'old skool' Vltor sliding stock okay for your thread?

If so, here's mine:

Got a piece of friction tape on it now so my beard doesn't get torn out. Aside from that, I enjoy using my Vltor stock Each accessory tube carries a spare set of (3) batteries for the M500, and an Aimpoint battery. Considering how long an Aimpoint battery lasts having two extras is superfluous, but what the hell.

ETA: The Mini ACOG was replaced by an Aimpoint Comp M2.

Very nice

What is the purpose of the (550 paracord, shoelace?) cord around the Surefire and sling swivel? Does it keep the swivel from rattling?

Edited, 'cause I can't spell

yeah - and also sort of a ghetto dummy cord incase the light mount loosens - but it hasn't yet...

I currently have a modded KAC cover that extends further out that helps get my hand out a bit more and also quiets the swivel.

Thanks for the info. I think I have the same ring you use for your Surefire mounted on my Benelli M3.

The EMod is really nice.  The extended length and rubber pad is a plus.

As for the CASV, I can see the lower half becoming loose in the future, especially if you attached a VFG.  The way it attaches to the upper is not too sturdy.  You can always use tie-wrap.

It takes literally 3 minutes to install the CASV so long as you've already removed the FSB sling swivel rivet before hand.  Removing the sling swivel rivet may take a bit more time.  You can use a punch and hammer it out.  I used a dremel to take off some the the rivet, then used a punch and it came out with little effort.

thanks for the imput guys, i was talking to one of the officers i work with and he is their certified armorer and he said he can take it out, he already has the right size punch and all, plus he will do the work i need for practically nothing.  so i may get that taken off this week, my order has been processed and im waiting for my EL rail to be shipped.

No where near done. Need a buis, aimpoint and a sling. But lets just say I don't think they will be banning those items soon. So for now I am concentrating on building more.

just talked to Area 51 tactical.  My order ships on monday,  VLTOR CASV EL, Badger charging handle with tactical latch, UTG rail mounted light with pressure switch, forward vertical grip with pressure switch pockets, rear folding iron sight, CAA grip with interchangable panels (like the magpul MIAD but ergo style).  set me back a little, but i think it will be some nice additions.  On the wishlist is a VLTOR EMOD stock, Single point sling mount, bungee style single pt sling, and a 3x magnifier with flip to side mount.

I have been thinking about getting an Emod stock.  I have used the Magpul CTR and it was ok,  I have used the SOPMOD stock and I really like it.  Now I am thinking the Emod might be as good or better than the SOPMOD.  What is your take on it, those that have used it against the SOPMOD?  Will it end up pulling whiskers out?  I have a beard and really don't plan on shaving just for a stock.
Thanks
