I need help identifying a flat-top upper, or at least two markings on it. (I apologize for the lack of pics)
First, a 'keyhole' type marking just before the forward assist, and closer to the rear on the same side is a stamped 'F' .
This is a stripped flat-top upper.
If any of you can tell me what these markings mean, and possibly what maker this is from, I'd appreciate it.

The 'F' is stamped, small, and not so neat/square/centered.
My concern is that it may be an identifying that means 'flawed' or some weird shit like that.
There aren't any obvious defects or blemishes, but I'd just like someone with the knowledge to help me.

IIIIIII edited my post to reflect the correct intel for you. It's FN unless someone has stamped the F on there in attempt to deceive you.
