slowly building my first precision ar. i have a slr lower. have an lpk on order and will buy a geiselle soon. will probably use a vltor a1 stock i have unless you guys think a prs is worth it. any 1/7 uppers you guys can suggest? i'm already thinking noveske stainless spr or mstn. any others for less money or same accuracy/quality for similar price?

Larue.

The PRS is definately worth it!

I recently got to shoot a buddy of min'es precision rig , and he had a PRS on it.

Even off hand (He's a lefty), that was a mighty nice stock.

I think when it's time for me to build my precision rig, I'll be getting one.

I can't speak highly enough of my LaRue and Noveske uppers.  Both are absolutely top-tier.  Availability might be a problem.  I am not sure about LaRue, but Noveske has a pretty significant lead time.

i have 2 noveskr and know they are great but they cant even be ordered for 3 more months and are expensive. larue is a good avenue. seems like you get alot for the money. how about les baer ultimate varmint?

WOA barrels are excellent and on the lower end of the price scale, or if your budget allows call Compass Lake and have them cut you a Krieger barrel. YMMV.

for those of you suggesting WOA, do you recommend the barrels only or do they make a great complete upper also. they're pretty cheap.

WOA has been making quality uppers for quite some time

now i've got a noveske recon, larue stealth,dd spr, rainier upper, woa all swirling around in my head. hard decision. since this won't be a gun to bet my life on(i have 2 n4 carbines for that), why not rra. i know they are no larue, noveske etc. but people say they shoot amazing groups with predator etc. am i stupid for considering one? are they as accurate as the others? more importantly will they stay that accurate after a lot of rounds like the others will? they sure are cheaper

why is an mstn recce upper 1600.00? it's an mur with larue rails and i assume a noveske recon bbl. a 16" larue upper is 1195.00. when available, a noveske recon can be had for the same price with troy sights. am i missing something?
