[ARCHIVED THREAD] - FSB sling loop removal....

I just installed some DD Omega rails on my Sabre middie and am thinking about removing it and using a QD swivel on the rail instead. By doing that, I no longer need the other sling loop. What's the best way to do this or is there a good reason NOT to do it?

I've done it before, just use a punch to pop the rivet out from the peened side.

There is no need for a drill on this one.

Thanks....can that same rivet be used to remount it if necessary?

Just buy a new rivet for $2.00 if you ever want to put the swivel back on.
