OK, I am new to these forums FYI

I need a new boomstick and I cannot decide on anything to buy, but first before I start thinking more about that, I have some questions:

#1 The remington R-15 says it shoots .223         DOES IT REALLY SHOOT .233 OR DOES IT SHOOT 5.56x45?

#2 The bushmaster preditor, is this a relyable weapon? Is it accurate? how far is it's accuracy range?

#3 (FYI, I am a big puss when it comes to recoil) how bad is the .308 recoil? compared to a mossin nagant, how much worse is it?

308 should be LESS than your mosin.... My family owns a varminter (like a predator+) and its a sub moa gun which we are all very happy with, cycles reliably, and has a great trigger and action.

Case length.  7.62x54R is the round that the Mosin chambers.  This is a Russian round. The R stands for rimmed.  It's a 7.62 caliber with a 54mm long case.

7.62x51mm is the round that the AR-10, M14, etc.  Also known as .308.

7.62x39mm is another Russian round.  AK-47, AKM, SKS chamber this round.

No, just because it's shorter doesn't mean it's less powerful.  There's a lot more than just length of the case that comes into play when determining how much power a round has.
